Richard has sold work extensively at major events such as Potfest in the Pens and numerous other venues where he likes to be able to interact with customers and share his enthusiasm.
Richard and Kathryn, at Rawson Pottery, create individual unique hand-built high-fired stoneware items made using slabs of clay and, coil and moulded techniques. All products are formed using coarse textured clays, decorated with colouring oxides, melted glass and a number of muted glazes, before firing. Whilst some items have specific functional uses, all have sculptural dimensions designed to be tactile and have strong structural elements that respond to light and shadow.
